The diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is made with a special portable device that the patient wears for a night at home and records breathing patterns, snoring, cardiovascular system blood saturation and detects the presence of apnea or hypopnea, i.e. abnormal breathing during sleep
The examination DOES NOT REQUIRE hospitalization but is easily done in the examinee's home.
